Andy PapanekBoard Vice President ~ Miami Valley Fire District Board of Trustees
On November 5th 2013, Andrew J. Papanek was elected to his first four year term as a Miami Township Trustee. He took office on January 1, 2014. Since becoming elected he has been appointed President of the Board of the Miami Township Trustees and has also been appointed to serve as the Vice President of the Miami Valley Fire District Board of Trustees.
He also has been appointed to serve on the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center Board and the Ohio Public Works Board as well as the Ohio Township Association.
Prior to serving as an elected official he was the Police Chief for the City of Brookville for 17.5 years and prior to that was with the sheriff’s office for twenty years working his way through the ranks from deputy sheriff to chief deputy of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office when he retired. Since his retirement from Brookville in 2003 he has worked as Vice President of operations for Anderson Security Inc.
Mr. Papanek has resided in Miami Township for the past fourteen years. He and his wife of 50 years have four children, eleven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
